You are invited to join us for the 2nd Friday Artists Reception,  January 9, 5:30 to 8:30 pm celebrating our current exhibit: California Society of Printmakers 101st Annual Members Show January 9 - February 7, 2015 Gray Loft Gallery is pleased to present the 101st Members Exhibition for the California Society of Printmakers.  Founded in San Francisco in December 1912 – in anticipation of the upcoming Panama-Pacific International Exposition of 1915 and announced in the San Francisco Chronicle on January 19, 1913 – the California Society of Printmakers is now the oldest continuously operating society of printmakers in the United States, if not the world.  Membership in CSP is determined by portfolio review of current and past board members two or three times a year. Prints in the exhibition are original works of art (not digital prints)  and include woodcuts, etchings, screenprints, lithographs and monoprints by more than 25 accomplished printmakers.  More information about the society is available at www.caprintmakers.org,  and in the soon to be released e-book of CSP’s award-winning, limited-edition out-of-print book California Society of Printmakers: One Hundred Years, 1913-2013.
